Daylight Saving Time Begins - Check Your Smoke and CO Batteries

While it may not feel like it given the cold weather, this coming weekend we will take a major step
towards the spring and summer season! This coming Sunday we will be moving our clocks ahead an hour. The changing of the clocks brings us a great reminder to change the batteries in our smoke and CO detectors. As the old saying goes “change your clocks, change your batteries”. It is recommended that you change these batteries twice a year to ensure that your detectors are in proper working order. When you change the batteries, also check the date of manufacture for each detector. Most detectors are good for 10 years before expiring and require replacing. Remember, working smoke and CO detectors save lives. Thank you and make it a safe day!
